English Name：Sabah snake grass，drooping clinacanthus.

Malay Name：Belalai gajah，tarum siam.

Indonesia Name：Dandang Gendis

Thailand Name：Yahpai yachuan，phaya-yor.

Family & Genus：Acanthaceae，Clinacanthus.

Properties：Sweet tatse. Mild in nature. 

Benefits：Regulate menstruation，clear heat & remove toxin，clear liver & promote function of gallbladder，activate blood circulation & dissipate blood-stasis，relieve swelling & pain，promote diuresis & expel dampness.

Indications：

·Sore throat

·Icterus hepatitis

·Irregular periods

·Hepatitis ascites

·Traumatic fracture

·Rheumatic arthralgia

·Sprain injury & swelling pain

·Laryngitis（larynx swelling & inflammation）

**Note

·Cancer patient should consult a doctor, do not take the sabah snake grass blindly，it may have very different consequences or delay treatment.


·Sabah snake grass can dissipate blood stasis and relieve swelling，if the swollen lumps have not turned into cancer，it may be effective，otherwise it may be in vain.


·Some cancer patients have seen results from the use of this herb, which may be a special case, the results depend on other factors such as individual's physique and illness，but this can't be generalised.

Preparation：

·1 sachets tea bag each time. One or twice daily. 

·Steep a tea bag in 200ml boiled water for 10 minutes. 

·Each tea bag may rebrewed 2-3 times，or until light taste.

性味：味甘；性平。

功能：调经，清热解毒，清肝利胆，活血散瘀，消肿止痛，利尿除湿。

适用于：

·喉炎

·喉痛

·肝炎腹水 

·月经不调

·扭伤肿痛

·铁打骨折

·风湿疼痛

·黄疸型肝炎

*民间用于肾病、癌症、子宫肌瘤等。


**注：

·癌症患者应咨询医生意见，勿盲目服用忧遁草，以免弄巧反拙或拖延病情。

·忧遁草可散瘀消肿，若肿块还未变成癌症，服用忧遁草或能见效，否则可能徒劳无功。

·有的癌患使用忧遁草见效，或许是特殊案例，当中涉及个人体质、病情等其它因素，不能一概而论。

·一些抗癌处方拥有忧遁草成份，因为它有利尿除湿之功效，有助癌患通过小便，将体内毒素排出体外。


用法：

·每次一包茶袋，每日1包～2包。

·将茶袋浸泡于200毫升沸水，10分钟后即可饮用。
