An excess flow valve is a mechanical safety device that may be installed on a natural gas service line, and is designed to automatically shut off the flow of natural gas in the service line in the event of a significant break, puncture or severance in the line.

𝐒𝐀𝐅𝐄𝐓𝐘 𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐄


✅ Always install the regulator in the Gas stove OFF position only.

✅ In normal condition of use, in order to ensure a safe operation of installation. It recommended that the regulator should be changed every 10 years from the date of manufacturing.

✅ For outdoor use, the device should be positioned or protected against direct penetration of the trickling of water.

✅ Before installation make sure that the rubber gasket in the cylinder valve or regulator is in good condition.

✅ Make sure all taps and appliances are turned off.

✅  Use LPG cylinders in an upright vertical position only.

✅  Make sure flexible pvc gas tubing is in good condition & not more than 3 years old.

✅ For rubber Tubing not more than 3 years old.

⛔ Do not try to remove the regulator in the Gas switched ON position ever.

⛔ Do not move the cylinder during operation.

⛔ Do not change LPG cylinders in the presence of candle lights or flames.

⛔Do only use any tools of installation, after hand tightening the nut.


 𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐏𝐒


1. Fill the regulator hose to the outlet nozzle. Use water and liquid soap for the lubrication of the hose. Insert firmly and clamp it using the hose clamp.


2. In total absence of any flame remove the seal cap from the cylinder valve.


3. Press the push button horizontally, mount the regulator on the cylinder press the regulator firmly down, and release.


4. Turn on by turning the lever,  after ensuring that the regulator is connected firmly in n the cylinder.


5. To replace the cylinder turn OFF the lever and dismount by horizontally pressing the push button and pulling off the regulator vertically.
