Now make these delicious soft idles at home. Here is how, wash and soak rice and dal in luke warm water for around 3 hours. Then drain, wash and grind till it becomes a smooth paste, keep this paste aside overnight to ferment. Once fermented add salt and mix well pour spoonfuls of the batter into greased idly moulds and steam for 15 minutes.
