Altruist was founded by Dr. Andrew Birnie (British consultant dermatologist & skin cancer surgeon), and David Westerbeek (philanthropist who has contributed in skincare his whole life). 

The two altruists set out a vision - to decrease the incidence of UV-induced skin cancer through the increased use of premium quality sunscreen and better education. What does it do?

Formulated with a hybrid of 8 mineral & synthetic UV filters approved safe and UV-protective by the European Union Cosmetics Regulation, including the most efficient UVB and UVA filters known today – Tinosorb A2B, Uvinul T150 and Tinosorb S, Altruist Dermatologist Sunscreen SPF 50 efficiently protects skin from being damaged by UV exposure. Consistent, liberal use as directed of this broad-spectrum sunscreen lowers risk of skin abnormalities and helps prevent premature aging caused by the sun, including brown/age spots, wrinkles & sagging skin.

HOW TO USE

Apply generously 20 minutes before sun exposure, as the last step of your daytime skincare routine. Though Altruist Dermatologist Sunscreen SPF 50 is water-resistant, to ensure continuous protection, you’re encouraged to reapply: o After 80 minutes of swimming & sweating o Immediately after towel drying Sun protection tips: Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a broad-spectrum SPF of 30 or higher. Wear long-sleeve shirts, pants, hats, and sunglasses during sun exposure.
