Oxithion is a food supplement of reduced L-glutathione, useful in cases of increased demand or possible lack of these components. It also has an antioxidant effect.Unlike ordinary oral preparations, Oxithion is formulated in fast dissolving sublingual tablets, with an innovative patented technology, thanks to which glutathione is rapidly absorbed through the sublingual mucosa before reaching the systemic circulation without being metabolized and then inactivated by the liver.The sublingual absorption also ensures a series of important benefits to the effectiveness of the product: ease of administration even in people with difficulties in swallowing; high tolerability; increased bioavailability of the active ingredients.Glutathione is natural a tripeptide, i.e. a small protein molecule composed of three amino acids: L-cysteine, L-glycine acid and L-glutamic acid.Glutathione is synthesized naturally by the liver and is present in almost all cells of the human body. It is found in abundance in hepatocytes, kidney, heart and brain cells.Glutathione is an important antioxidant and detoxifier. Endogenous glutathione levels may decrease due to several factors: intake of alcohol; intake of drugs or medications; malnutrition; cigarette smoke and other pollutants; some chronic diseases such as diabetes and degenerative diseases; incorrect diets; factors related to age (after 40 years the level of GSH is reduced by 5% per decade).Glutathione is the most important intracellular antioxidant. It allows other type of antioxidant vitamins, such as vitamin C and vitamin E, to fully carry out their function, recovering the functionality to oxidized forms and restoring their antioxidant potential.Scientific evidence has shown that optimal levels of glutathione are necessary to support the immune system, protect and detoxify the liver, minimizing the risk of chronic diseases such as cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases.
Indications/Uses
Food supplement. Useful in cases of low dietary intake or increased need of glutathione. Fast dissolving tablets.
Dosage/Direction for Use
How to Use: Place one tablet under the tongue and allow to dissolve before swallowing.Recommended Daily Dose: 1-2 tablets daily, preferably between meals.
