- 3M Micropore - Paper Tape (Hypoallergenic) is a lightweight, breathable paper tape that is gentle, yet offers secure adhesion especially on sensitive skin. Micropore tape works well on frequently changed bandages and on 'at risk' skin. 

3M micropore paper medical tape is the #1 paper tape used in hospitals.


- Micropore consists of a conformable, non-extensible non-woven fabric manufactured from 100% viscose, coated with a layer of an acrylic adhesive. The tape is easily torn to length. Once applied to the skin, Micropore will withstand limited exposure to water without losing all of its adhesive properties.


- How to use 3M Micropore Medical Paper Tape?

1. Apply the 3M Micropore Surgical Tape evenly to clean, dry surface.

2. Apply the tape evenly by positioning and pressing down from the center towards the edges.

3. Optimize adhesion by firmly rubbing or pressing the tape backing. ...

4. Never apply tape under tension.


- For maximum benefit, micropore tape should ideally be worn 24 hours a day for several weeks. Tape can be used immediately after sutures are removed at about 2 weeks after surgery.
