The familiar household uses of Ace-tone are as the Nail Polish Remover, Super Glue Remover, and as Paint Thinner. Ace-tone is also a good solvent for many plastics and some synthetic fibers. It is used for thinning polyester resin.
As an organic solvent, its vapour can irritate the skin and eyes, damage the lungs and respiratory system, as well as the central nervous system when inhaled.
