Also known as Butyl Ethanoate, is an ester that is a colorless, flammable liquid at room temperature. Butyl acetate is often used as a high-boiling solvent of moderate polarity. It is also used as a solvent in nail polish along with Ethyl Acetate.
As an organic solvent, its vapour can irritate the skin and eyes, damage the lungs and respiratory system, as well as the central nervous system when inhaled.
