Bilberry or Blueberry in Europe is a wonderful fruit. Studies conducted in United States and Europe that are reported by Academic Journals and Annals of Chemistry showed that the fruits contain many active constituents like anthocyanosides and flavonoids.

These substances are powerful antioxidants and help to treat many sickness like diarrhea, gastrointestinal distress, ulcers, sore throat, cardiovascular problems and neuropsychiatric problems like cataracts, diabetes and so on. The anthocyanins fraction is a potent antioxidant that can inhibit lipid peroxidation, scavenged free radicals and superoxide anions.
