Heasteed Oil Painting Medium 75/ 280 ml


Lustrous and versatile, oil paint has appealed to artists since the middle ages. Painters from Jan Van Eyck to Gerhard Richter have been drawn to its rich sheen and vibrant colour.  Many oil paint recipes used by the world’s finest paint-makers have hardly changed for hundreds of years, because there’s no need – colour simply cannot appear any richer or more beautiful.


Odorless Thinner


- A colorless transparent liquid and crystal clear and pure without impurities, volatile, evaporated and no residue. Is one of the important medium of oil painting. It has strong solvency. Can be use for mixing oil colors or dilute relatively thick oil painting medium.


Refined Linseed Oil


Refined Linseed Oil adds a loose, slippery quality when added to oil colours and mediums. It is recommended however, that the use of Linseed Oil, whether cold pressed or refined, should be used sparingly to extend oil colours as it is prone to yellowing more than other oils. If wishing to employ glazes or washes Langridge recommends the use of Stand Oil, a virtually non-yellowing oil, as the basis for painting mediums. 


Gloss Varnish


Varnish acts as a protective film safeguarding oil paintings from dirt build-up, moisture, yellowing, scuffs, and other damaging impacts. It also helps to give the painting that beautiful patina it takes on over time. Many artists wouldn’t consider their piece truly done until it has been varnished and dried. Glossy varnishes enhance color saturation, three-dimensional forms, and depths of the oil painting,
