白芷：《本经》记载：“长肌肤，润泽，可做面脂。”无论是《千金面脂方》或是《玉容散》中都记载白芷是制作面脂的主药。可以美白，又可美体。
白蔹：《药性论》记载：“可治面上疮疱。”
白茯苓：《本草品汇精要》记载：“白茯苓为末，和蜜和，敷面上疗面疮及产妇黑疱如雀卵。”
白芨：《药性论》记载：“治面上疮，令人肌滑。”《本草纲目》记载：“洗面黑、祛斑。”
白术：《药性论》记载：“主面光悦，驻颜祛斑。”用白术蘸酒（或醋）如研磨之状，均匀涂抹脸上可美白，治疗雀斑和黑斑。圣医李时珍曾说此方治雀斑“极致”。
白芍：《本经》记载，白芍“主邪气腹痛、除血痹、破坚积寒热、止痛、利小便、益气”，美容良药。
