Scientific Name：Hydrocotyle sibthorpioides Lam.

English Name：Asiatic pennywort，lawn pennywort，marsh pennywort，water pennywort.

Malay Name：Pegaga embun.

Family & Genus：Apiaceae（Umbelliferae），Hydrocotyle.

Pharmacology：Anti-pathogenic-microorganism，anti-malaria，blood-sugar-reducing.

Properties：Acrid，bitter taste. Cool in nature.

Benefits：Clear heat & drain dampness，detoxify & relieve swelling，eliminate phlegm & relieve cough.

Indications：

·Edema

·Jaundice

·Dysentery

·Sore throat

·Herpes zoster

·Kidney stones

·Acute nephritis

·Corneal opacity

·Whooping cough

·Traumatic injury 

·Urinary retention

**Note：

1.Dengue fever is a critical illness，please see your doctor or get emergency help immediately，lawn pennywort only used as an adjunctive therapy for dengue fever.


2.Lawn pennywort is cold in nature. Hence, pregnant women are refrained from consumption. You should immediately stop drinking the herb once you are recovered.


Preparation：

·1 sachets tea bag each time. One or twice daily. 

·Steep a tea bag in 200ml boiled water for 10 minutes. 

·Each tea bag may rebrewed 2-3 times，or until light taste.

药理作用：抗病原微，抗疟，降血糖。

性味：味辛，苦；性寒。

功能：清热利湿，解毒消肿，化痰止咳。

适用于：

·黄疸

·痢疾

·水肿

·淋症

·目翳

·喉肿

·肾结石

·百日咳

·小便不通

·痈肿疮毒

·带状疮疹

·急性肾炎

·跌打损伤

*民间用于骨痛热症。


**注：

·骨痛热症乃危急之症，正确做法是先看医生，草药只适宜作为辅助治疗。

·天胡荽性寒凉，孕妇忌服。若病情痊愈后，应马上停止饮用。


用法：

·每次一包茶袋，每日1包～2包。

·将茶袋浸泡于200毫升沸水，10分钟后即可饮用。

·每个茶袋可重复冲泡2-3次，或直至淡味为止。
