An Optical Image Stabilizer helps to compensate for up to 3 stops of camera shake, while Dynamic Image Stabilization corrects for a wide range of motion while shooting video. A 7-blade diaphragm allows for pleasing out of focus areas while two UD lens elements help to minimize chromatic aberrations and reduce color blurring around the edges of the subject. In addition, two aspherical lenses are combined to help reduce spherical aberration over the entire image area, as well as through the full zoom range.
