Blackmores Vitamin D3 contains natural vitamin D3 to aid calcium absorption. It helps the development of bones. Vitamin D helps improve calcium and phosphate absorption, which are important for healthy bones. Vitamin D3 is the body’s natural form of vitamin D.

Vitamin D3 is often called the 'sunshine vitamin' as it is manufactured in the skin through the action of sunlight. Small amounts can also be obtained from food sources.

Vitamin D3 stimulates the absorption of calcium. A major function of calcium is building and maintaining bones and teeth. This is important for maintaining bone density.

Adequate levels of vitamin D throughout life are important for building and maintaining healthy bone mass, and hence in maintaining bone density.

Dosage

For treatment and prevention of Vitamin D deficiency:

Adults ‐ Take 1‐2 capsules a day with a meal, or as professionally prescribed.


For adjuvant treatment for osteoporosis:

Adults ‐ Take 1‐2 capsules a day with a meal, or as professionally prescribed.
