The Roberlo UNIX 450HS Clearcoat was formulated to not only retain, but to also improve on the current characteristics the UNIX 250HS Clearcoat had. The most important technological advancements made was to increase the clearcoat's hardness from 4H to 8H, so as to better cater to extreme conditions the vehicle body panels are subjected to.
- Increased overall surface HARDNESS of 8H (Take note that the highest limit for the Pencil Hardness Rating is 9H)
- Increased & improved scratch resistance capability
- Increased mechanical (e.g. nicks, gouges, dents) resistance performance
- Increased chemical resistance rating
- Superior Gloss (Clearcoats are meant to be Glossy anyway)
- Dry Film Thickness: 50 to 60 microns (2 wet coats)
- Viscosity CF/4 @ 20°C: 18s
- Yield: 9 to 10 m²/L
- Solid Content (At Application + 0% Thinner): 48%
- VOC Content (At Application + 0% Thinner): 504 grams/Litre
- The UNIX 450HS Clearcoat is categorized as a special finish, thus fulfilling the EU Legislation, Directive 2004/42/EC - IIB(e)(840)(504), on the VOC emissions
- Recommended Thinning Ratio: 5% (Slightly more Thinner if you have used the UNIX 250HS previously).
***Note***: The introduction of the Roberlo UNIX 450HS Clearcoat 2:1 is not meant to replace the UNIX 250HS Clearcoat, but to build on the foundation of the UNIX 250HS Clearcoat, and to improve and bring its qualities to greater heights. Constant upgrades and improvements are synonymous to Roberlo, in wanting to progress with the times of requirements.
