Solvent cleaner to prepare the surface for examination.


A fast drying cleaner for the removal of all kinds of contaminants on the surface to be inspected. Serves as a preparation of the surface before inspection with liquid penetrant.


Step-by-step guide:

Step 1:

CRICK 110 – CLEAN THE SURFACE Before testing, the surface must be clean, degreased and dry. All soiling that can mask imperfections must be removed. • Spray the Crick 110 cleaner generously on the surface • Wipe the surface clean with an absorbent cloth • Allow to dry thoroughly


Step 2:

CRICK 120 – APPLY PENETRANT • Shake the can of Crick 120 prior to use. • Spray the penetrant in a light, even film on the surface, covering all areas that need to be tested. • Allow to penetrate for 10 to 20 minutes.


Step 3:

CRICK 110 – REMOVE EXCESS PENETRANT • Apply Crick 110 cleaner on a lint-free cloth • Wipe the surface untill all visible, coloured traces are removed. Make sure that you do not wash the penetrant out of the cracks.


Step 4:

CRICK 130 – APPLY DEVELOPER • Shake the can of Crick 130 thorougly prior to use, for at least 1 minute. • Spray a light, homogeneous coat of developer from a distance of about 20 cm. Avoid any excess of developer to avoid masking the finest flaws. • Allow to develop for at least 7 minutes*.


Step 5:

VISUAL INSPECTION OF DEFECTS • Inspect the surface for red spots or line • After the drying time, defects appear as red spots or lines on the white background. The wider and more intense the colouring is, the wider and deeper the crack is.


Step 6:

POST-TREATMENT (IF REQUIRED) Cleaning: Crick 110 can be used to post-clean the surface by spraying the cleaner on the surface and wipe it off.
