Oil management is an important part of ensuring the longer life of a turbo, Engines run at different oil pressure. This can often result in too much oil pressure for a turbo. This can cause premature wear and failure of oil seals in the turbo,oil leakage or smoking. For oil leakage pls check:
1)Oil inlet must be on the top. and oil outlet must face ground.
2)Any inadequate/improper oil drain out of the turbo
If there is no above things, then the turbo may need a smaller oil restrictor(the turbo has already a built-in oil restrictor -about 1.2 mm in diameter). Here we attach an oil restrictor of about 0.9mm in diameter.
But pls keep in mind that proper oil pressure is very important for the turbo lubrication and cooling. And insufficient oil supply/ pressure may lead to bearing failure, pls consult professionals for more details.
