If you need more space, Cognita Light 2 also has a microSD card reader with support for cards up to 32GB.

Eink Cart screen

Thanks to the screen with the latest E-INK Carta technology, reading is a complete pleasure. The new screen has better contrast and a whiter background. Thanks to the improved refresh rate, you can read more pages without the flickering effect without losing quality.

The eink screen with a 16-level gray scale imitates the effect of traditional printing on paper. The resolution of 1024x758, 212 ppi ensures super comfortable reading without eye strain. The text is clear and easy to read.

Screen backlight with anti-reflective coating

Bemi Cognita Light 2 has a built-in smart LED backlight that allows you to adjust not only the brightness but also the color. The screen of the reader is covered with a special anti-reflective coating , thanks to which you can read books even in full sun.

The reader has a set of cold and warm LEDs (blue and yellow).

Depending on your preferences, you can set your own composition by "mixing" the colors.

In addition, the reader has default settings for reading during the day, evening and at night.

Book formats

Cognita Light 2 supports most of the available e-book formats, such as: PDF DRM, epub DRM, TXT, HTML, FB2, RTF, MOBI (mobipocket), CHM, PDB, DOC (in the basic scope).

In addition, it also displays graphic files in the following formats: JPEG, JPG, BMP, GIF.

Adobe? DRM

Adobe? DRM is a copyright protection system developed by Adobe.

Many e-bookstores and libraries offer books with DRM protection.

The reader supports Adobe? DRM and allows you to read books with protection for both PDF and epub formats without any problems.

PDF Reflow

Cognita Light 2 supports the very useful Reflow feature for PDF files. Reflow is also known as reflow, i.e. splitting the content of a PDF file so that it is read as text, as in a file, e.g. epub or fb2. The text automatically adjusts to the page size, making reading pleasant and comfortable. The text can be additionally enlarged, which is impossible when reading the original PDF file.

Background change mode

Shows the contents of the book with a dimmed look, using an inverse color scheme to further enhance readability and contrast.

Notebook

The reader has a built-in simple notepad where you can write down your comments or important information. Each note will be saved in TXT format.

Calendar with notes and notifications

Cognita Light 2 has a built-in calendar in which you can save notes, information about important events and set a notification about an upcoming date or event for each date.

Dictionary

The reader has built-in basic dictionaries* from English and to English in 7 languages: Russian, Polish, Spanish, German, Italian, French and Portuguese.

The device additionally has an English-English Webster dictionary.

*Cognita Light 2 does not support highlighting words in text. The word must be entered manually in the dictionary.

Book library

Cognita Light 2 displays the library as book cover tiles or a list of files , both in the internal memory and on the memory card if inserted in the reader. The device also allows you to sort books by title, author, recently read, new. You can also create a list of your favorite e-books, search for books by name.

In addition to the name of the book/file, we can view the file format (list) and the % of the book read.

Features while reading

• Add bookmark - add a bookmark to the currently open book.
• Bookmarks - Displays saved bookmarks.
• Table of Contents - Displays the table of contents if available in the file; (feature not available in . txt).
• Add to favorites - add the currently open file to the list of favorites.
• Go to page - enter the number of the page you want to go to directly.
• Search - search for selected words and the currently open book.
• Zoom amount - zoom in/out (only available in . pdf).
• Font size - increase / decrease the font size of the currently read text (the function is not in the . pdf).
• Font type - change the font type (function available only in . txt/. html/. fb2/. rtf/. mobi).
• Line spacing - adjust line spacing (only available in . txt/. html/. fb2/. rtf/. mobi).
• Margin - change the size of the margin in the file.
• Text - The user can change the display of the pdf file between the original view (exc. original) and text only (incl. reflow) - (only available in . pdf).
• Rotate screen - rotate the screen 90? clockwise or counterclockwise.
• Swap colors - inverts the displayed colors (by default, the background under the displayed text is white and the letters are black; if the inverted colors function is enabled, the background is black and the letters are white)
• Auto-rotate - set the time after which the page will be automatically turned over after: 10 seconds/20 seconds/30 seconds/1 minute/2 minutes.
• Refresh mode - Set the screen refresh rate: every page/3 pages/5 pages.
• About Book - Displays information about the currently open book: title, author, publisher, and format (if available).
• Footnotes - if the book contains, displays the content of the footnote.

Note: Cognita Light 2 will adjust the available features depending on the format of the book. Not every feature is available for every file format.

The reader supports the footnote function. If the book has footnotes, the device will allow you to view its content.

Action time

Bemi Cognita Light 2 has a built-in 1900mAh battery. When fully charged, the device can run for up to 7 weeks *, approximately 6,000 page changes .

* Under the following conditions: half an hour of reading per day, average 30-second page-turning time, set to the shortest sleep and auto-off times.
