Colorimetric test kit that detects Nitrite and Nitrite Nitrogen concentration. 

The test kit contains 2 reagents. 

The test shall be conducted for monitoring water quality during long period culture. 

Ammonia will be converted into nitrite during long period culture. When nitrite is absorbed by fish and other aquatic organisms, it can combine with hemoglobin to cause nitrite toxicity.

The test also provides insights about nitrification rate as nitrification consumes dissolved oxygen and is a source of acidity. Nitrification can contribute up to 30-40% of oxygen demand.
