Made with fresh, pure Jersey Cow milk, Paneer by Onkar Foods is a mild flavored cheese curd dairy product that is prepared milk curds. A popular ingredient in South Asian cuisines, paneer is the vegetarian’s best form of protein and calcium, even better than tofu.
Paneer can be prepared the same ways as tofu: in curries, stews, stir-fry, baking and grilling. Do not deep-fry! Hand-crafted, the paneer is densely packed to ensure that you get only curds and no whey.
It is vacuum sealed and so lasts 45 days in its original packaging.
Once open, wrap remainder in cling film and consume within 3 days, or freeze. Freezing alters the texture of the paneer so expect it to crumble once defrosted. The weight of the paneer is true to the product as we densely pack it with minimal whey content.
