Gac fruit is a fruit that grows in Vietnam and some parts of South Asia, known for its bright red fruit appearance, also known as "sweet gourd". The Vietnamese refer to GAC as "the fruit from heaven", referring to its ability to promote longevity, vitality and health.
It is currently known as the fruit with the richest carotene content, among which the content of lycopene is 76 times that of tomato, and the content of β-carotene is 15 times that of carrot.
Gac dried carotenoids can be found in up to 500 grams of tomato energy and 500 grams of carrots. There is a folk saying that "eating gac fruit can relieve dry eyes and fatigue, and promote vision health".
木鳖果是生长在越南和南亚一些区域的水果，其鲜红色的果买，又称为“甜葫芦”。越南人将木鳖果称为“来自天堂的水果”，指它具有促进长寿、增进活力与健康的能力。
它是目前已知类胡萝卜素含量最丰富的水果之一，其中番茄红素的含量是番茄的76倍，β-胡萝卜素的含量是胡萝卜的15倍。
木鳖果中红色的果瓤是胡萝卜素和番茄红素最集中的部位，黄色的果肉则富含叶黄素。一片木鳖果果干中的类胡萝卜素含量能顶上500克番茄和500克胡萝卜。在民间还有“吃木鳖果可缓解眼睛干涩和疲劳、促进视力健康”的说法。
