Apparently, some nutrients are actually higher in dried apricots compared to those in the fresh fruit. While we can’t substantiate this claim, we know that dried apricots are good for your health.
Despite losing its water-soluble and heat-sensitive vitamins such as Vitamin C in the dehydration process, dried apricots contain higher concentrated nutrients like dietary fibre, potassium, non-heme iron and antioxidants. These nutrients provide healthy bowel movements, improve blood pressure, prevent iron-deficiency anaemia, boost immune systems, and are great for healthier eyes.
With all those benefits, dried apricots are a great snack substitute for salty potato crisps. After all, isn’t healthy the new sexy?
