**TIPS**
1. Immediately rinse the mortar and pestle with warm water after each use. This is because mortar and pestle are prone to staining when exposed to acidic and oily foods.
2. Clean it with a dishrag and mild washing-up liquid or soap. Unscented soap is preferable as fragrant liquids and soaps can leave a perfume residue on the mortar and pestle that can transfer to food.
3. Remove stuck-on food with an abrasive dish sponge.
4. Thoroughly rinse the mortar and pestle in warm water to remove soap residue.
5. To avoid mold, dry the mortar and pestle completely with a clean towel before storing it.
