How to take care your isopod pet:
Place them in an enclosure with proper ventilation and maintain a moist environment by misting the enclosure regularly, but avoid making it too wet. Provide a substrate that retains moisture, such as peat moss or sphagnum moss. This will help maintain the humidity levels necessary for isopods.
Isopods are detritivores, meaning they feed on decaying organic matter. Provide a variety of food sources such as leaf litter, decaying wood, and vegetables like carrots or cucumbers. Isopods also love protein, you can offer them dried shrimp or fish food. Don’t overfeed your isopods as leftover food will cause mould. Remove any uneaten food.
These are general care guidelines, and specific species of isopods may have additional requirements. Feel free to drop us a message for more questions.
