Lactoferrin, an innate defense iron-binding protein naturally found in cow’s milk, possesses multiple health benefits such as having a powerful antimicrobial activity, regulating the release of cytokines in inflammatory areas, activating immune cells and inhibiting inflammatory diseases caused by non-pathogenic bacteria. Proferrin? Lactoferrin is derived from premium French milk using a gentle manufacturing process to preserve its native structure and activity, thus giving it with an extremely high purity (more than 95%). Proferrin? is a heme iron polypeptide (HIP) derived from bovine hemoglobin that provides better absorption with lower side effects.
