This year’s Five Element Pagoda features the White Umbrella Goddess mantra on its base, with the Chinese couplet “Bringing peace and protection against harm”. The White Umbrella Goddess is a deity who manifests her power with her thousand heads, arms and legs; it is believed that just viewing her mantra protects against illness, disasters and spiritual harm, as well as bringing great auspiciousness.
In 2024, a year when the world’s energies goes through such big change from the changeover in Period, there is nothing like invoking the blessings of the White Umbrella Goddess. ??
