Scrub skillet well in hot soapy water.
Dry thoroughly.
Spread a thin layer of melted shortening or vegetable oil over the skillet.
Place it upside down on a middle oven rack at 375°. (Place foil on a lower rack to catch drips.)
Bake 1 hour; let cool in the oven.

FAQ:
How to maintain and season the pan?
With proper seasoning and care, it will not get rusty and will lasts for a long time.
a. Scrub the pan in hot soapy water.
b. Let it dry.
c. Spread a thin layer of vegetable oil over the whole pan.
d. (If using stove) Place the pan on a stove, dry it with low heat.

e. (If using oven) Place it upside down on a middle oven rack at 190 °c.
Bake 1 hour; let cool in the oven.
f. After cool off, store the pan.
