400多年前，就算是在科技不发达的年代，虎乳芝的药效早已被人们发现并成为家用良药。原住民或土著早已使用“老虎奶”医治咳嗽、哮喘、支气管炎、呕吐、发烧、乳腺癌、胃癌、食物中毒等超过15种症状。

虎乳芝的功效

1、护肺、保肺、止咳平喘 虎乳芝不止能缓解哮喘症状，还能止咳平喘，改善呼吸道以及鼻敏感的症状。长期服用还可改善呼吸，尤其是抽烟及长期深处环境污染的患者。

2、增强关节功能 虎乳芝具有一定的消炎功能，它对骨痛热症、关节疼痛具有一定的疗效。

3、有效治疗皮肤敏感 外敷与内服虎乳芝，能舒缓皮肤敏感和湿疹，也能舒缓酒精敏感所引起的疹子，帮助伤口复原。

4、补气强身，提高人体免疫机能 虎乳芝能增强体力与抵抗能力还能能减轻疲劳，提神及恢复元气。

5、抗肿瘤 虎乳芝对肿瘤有一定的抵抗能力，能减轻患者化疗后的副作用，使病人更有活力。
