Shea butter is a skin superfood that comes from the seeds of the fruit of the Shea (Karite) tree and that is naturally rich in vitamins A, E and F. It offers UV protection (it is SPF ~6) and provides the skin with essential fatty acids and the nutrients necessary for collagen production. Shea butter has been used in Africa and other countries for years to improve skin and hair.

乳木果脂(Shea Butter), 是以冷壓方式萃取得來的, 原產地於非洲, 是一種具有神奇保養功效的植物, 由於目前仍然無法以人工栽種, 所以完全是以自然方式生長的.

乳木果脂含有可皂化的脂肪、脂肪酸及肉桂酸等成分, 除了具有滋潤肌膚的特性, 也具有吸收紫外線的效果, 因此是一種天然的防曬品, 此外, 乳木果脂也含有植物固醇（Phytosterols）及維生素E, 這是乳木果脂最珍貴的護膚價值所在, 當中具有極佳的修護、抗炎、與肌膚癒合的功效, 最適合嬰兒及過敏性肌膚的人使用. 由於乳木果脂這類成份比例高達8%（一般植物油比例還不到1%）, 這足以解釋為何乳木果脂對搔癢等肌膚發炎情形是具有何等神奇的功效.

乳木果脂的防曬作用佳, 可保護亦可緩和及治療受日曬後的肌膚, 也可用在治療指甲邊緣的脫皮.

入皂特性 : 乳木果脂屬硬性油脂, 是製作手工香皂的高級素材, 起泡細小、滋潤度高, 成皂質地溫和且較硬.
