GI means Glycemic Index, it's a value used formeasuring the speed of the sugar spiking in our blood glucose level. Low GI is especially important fot those who is seeking low sugar impact foods, like diabetics or group who is on low sugar diet. As rice is Asian's staple, this Premium Low GI Parboiled Rice is not just any ordinary dehusked rice. Its unique preparation process retains the original nutritional value of a whole rice grain. Parboiling the rice before husk is removed by soaking, steamed, dried and then dehusked. This process drives nutrients from the bran and germ to the endosperm, enables rice's molecules to react and change its starchiness nature and thus makes it score a GI value below 50. This explains why the Parboiled Rice has yellowish tint due to the color penetration from the bran and germ. Premium Low GI Parboiled Rice has a better source of fiber, calcium, potassium, iron, zinc & vitamin B6. It takes less cooking time, has a firmer and less sticky grain. It's a good choice for diabetes management, low sugar diet seekerd, weight watchers, grainy rice lovers and rice salad preparation.
