Borage oil is a special base oil made by solvent extraction or cold pressing. It is rare and expensive. It is not only rich in vitamins and minerals, but also contains a large amount of γ-linoleic acid (GLA). 琉璃苣油 是溶劑萃取法或冷壓萃取的特製基礎油，既罕見又昂貴，不但富有維他命，礦物質，更含有大量的γ-亞麻仁油酸(GLA)，其GLA含量大約是月見草油的3倍，可能是基礎油中濃度最高者，因此其保溼功能極佳，還能促進細胞再生，對抗皮膚，治療濕疹，並可改善關節僵硬，及發炎情況，一般是以10% ~ 25%的比例與其他基礎油一起使用 ,富含飽和脂酸與單一不飽和脂肪酸，以及維他命甲，乙群，D和E和β胡蘿蔔素，皮膚吸收能力極佳,有軟化及治愈皮膚的功能，保濕效果高;做成皂屬於較易溶化，變形的特性，能產生適當的泡沫，對皮膚非常溫和，最適合嬰兒及過敏性皮膚的人使用或當洗臉用肥皂，建議比例10-15％
