Ethylchloride spray is used for:
Controlling pain associated with injections, minor surgical procedures, and certain other procedures. It is also used to temporarily relieve minor sports injuries. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Do NOT use ethyl chloride spray if:
-You are allergic to any ingredient in ethyl chloride spray
Contact your doctor or health care provider right away if any of these apply to you.
-Before using ethyl chloride spray:
-Some medical conditions may interact with ethyl chloride spray. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of the following apply to you:
-if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding
-if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement
-if you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances
-if you have swollen, cut, or damaged skin at the application site

Some MEDICINES MAY INTERACT with ethyl chloride spray. Because little, if any, of ethyl chloride spray is absorbed into the blood, the risk of it interacting with another medicine is low.
Ask your health care provider if ethyl chloride spray may interact with other medicines that you take. Check with your health care provider before you start, stop, or change the dose of any medicine.

How to use ethyl chloride spray:
Use ethyl chloride spray as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.
-Do not apply to damaged, blistered, broken, or inflamed skin.
When using ethyl chloride spray to freeze areas of skin, be sure to apply petrolatum to surrounding areas as directed by your doctor to avoid freezing outside the treatment site.
-Be sure you understand how to properly use ethyl chloride spray, including how far away from your skin you should hold the container and how long to spray it. Check with your doctor if you have any questions about the proper use of ethyl chloride spray.
-If you are using the amber bottle: Hold the bottle upside down while spraying. Be sure to open the spring valve completely to allow ethyl chloride spray to flow from the bottle.
-If you are using the aerosol can: Hold the can upright over the treatment area. Press the valve completely to allow ethyl chloride spray to spray from the can.
-If you miss a dose of ethyl chloride spray, continue to use it as directed by your doctor.
