Acetylcysteine 600mg



Uses

Reduces the viscosity of the secretion of mucous membrane of respiratory tract. Antidote for acute acetaminophen poisoning.



Direction for Use

Adult 1 tablet per day.



Acetaminophen poisoning Adult & children 140 mg/kg followed by 17 doses of 70 mg/kg 4 hourly; repeat dose if emesis occurs within 1 hour of administration.



Administration

Should be taken with food: For reduction of viscosity of mucus secretion: Preferably taken at night, before or after meal. Dissolve tablet in a glass of water.
