What is Seam Sealing Tape?
Seam Sealing Tape is simply an adhesive tape that is used on seams of clothing and other manufactured products to prevent humidity and water penetration whilst adding strength to the products seam joint. Is like applying a layer of glue—or sealant—across the seams. When applying it, the sealant seeps into the stitching holes, creating a waterproof barrier.

In that case, Seam Sealing Tape is a perfect material to repair, strengthen or block any water that enters the needles holes or any small hole from making its way into your tent, tarp, flysheet or even your raincoat.

Important: Always apply the sealant to the inner side of your material.

How to apply the Seam Sealing Tape?
1. lay the seam sealing tape over the seam or on the surface you want to apply. Ensure that the entire surface are covered by the seam-sealing tape.

2. Adjust the iron temperature to the lowest setting. Cover the tape with baking paper or parchment paper. Note that we will cover the seam-sealing tape with baking/parchment paper when ironing, so that it doesn't adhere to the baseplate of the iron. Plus, It is sometimes difficult to tell which is the sticky side of the tape, so test a small patch at one end.

3. Iron it. The tape will become more transparent as it seals. Keep pressing until it is fully sealed. If there are any patches that have bubbles or unsealed sections, go over them again until the whole seam is sealed.
