The TrizULTRA+Keto Flush skin & ear cleanser (for cats, dogs, horses) was the first wildly successful new product released by Dechra USA, formed after the acquisition of DermaPet. Many DermaPet products are still current class leaders, including MalAcetic Otic ear cleanser and Mal-A-Ket, DermAllay and DermaBenSS shampoos (check our other listings).

What does it do?
TrizULTRA+Keto Flush is non-stinging and will not upset sensitive pets, yet it is just as or more effective than leading ear treatments that contain more dramatic active ingredients. It can resolve severe fungal otitis (all types, including the most common Malassezia) and bacterial otitis in your pet within a week - use twice daily for the first week.

How does it compare to Dechra’s MalAcetic Otic ear cleansers?
Dechra’s MalAcetic Otic is still the most used pet ear cleanser in a number of countries. There are 2 versions: 1) Regular MalAcetic Otic for weekly cleaning and treatment of less severe infections, though it can also resolve severe infections if you use it twice a day for about a week; 2) MalAcetic ULTRA Otic is for serious ear infections that involve intense itching and swelling. It adds a corticosteroid (anti-pruritic and -swelling), an azole (antifungal) and ceramides (skin barrier restoration).
In comparison, TrizULTRA+Keto Flush can do the job of both versions of MalAcetic Otic, for better or worse in some aspects. Unlike the latter, it is alcohol- and acid-free so it is fully non-stinging and will not upset your pet, or at least not as much. It is just as effective the ULTRA without resorting to the use of corticosteroid. However, it won’t stop bad itching and swelling instantly like MalAcetic ULTRA – you’ll have to use it a number of times to achieve the same initial result.

How do I use it?
This is a flush, so you must pour a liberal amount into your pet’s ear to flush it and treat infections. Don’t worry, as it’s your pet’s outer ear and the liquid will not enter the inner ear. It can also be used as a skin & wound cleanser like Vetericyn spray. If your pet has a cut, just pour some over it and the antibacterial TrizEDTA will prevent an infection.

Does it treat ear mites?
Ear mites are parasites and can only be destroyed with a pesticide. TrizULTRA+Keto Flush is still useful for it. For the best results, you need to use it to flush and clean the ear first before applying a miticide ear drop like Vetoquinol Oridermyl, Virbac Otomite or Zoetis Eradimite (we carry the latter 2).
