Indications :
Remifemin is a herbal medicine. It is traditionally used for the relief of hot flushes, sweating, restlessness associated with menopause.

What are the symptoms of Menopause?
For many women who enter menopause, their menstrual cycle becomes irregular and then stops, and they don't have any other symptoms. But, for others, the decreasing levels of estrogen associated with menopause may cause more distressing symptoms that may include :
• Hot flushes
• Night sweats
• Irritability
• Mood swings
• Mild Anxiety
• Trouble sleeping
These symptoms can last from a few months to up to 10 years

Composition : 1 tablet contains :
Cimicifuga rhiz. extract equivalent to 20mg root and rhizome.
Other inactive ingredients : Cellactose, potato starch, magnesium stearate, peppermint oil.

Dosage/How To Use :
Unless otherwise prescribed, 2 Remifemin tablets to be taken per day, one in the morning and one in the evening.
The tablet should be swallowed unchewed with some liquid (no sucking).

Mode of Administration :
Like most herbal therapy, Remifemin does not reveal its action immediately. First therapeutic effects are seen after 2 weeks of treatment. As the results of treatment improve further on prolonged administration, Remifemin should be given over a period of at least 6 weeks. Remifemin can be taken for a period exceeding 6 months on medical advice. As a good healthcare practice, women are advised to visit the doctor every 6 months.

Precautions :
◈ As no sufficient data is available, the product should not be used during pregnancy and lactation without medical advice.
◈ If feeling of tenderness and swelling in the breast occur, or in case of menstrual disorder, please consult a doctor.
◈ Patients with a history of liver disease should only take Remifemin after consulting with their doctor.
◈ Estrogen may only betaken concurrently under medical supervision because Remifemin may intensify the effect of the estrogens. Consult your doctor.
◈ This medicine contains lactose. Do not take Remifemin if you suffer from sugar intolerance.

Warnings :
• Stop taking this product if signs and symptoms suggestive of liver injury develop such as tiredness, loss of appetite, yellowing of the skin and eyes or severe upper stomach pain with nausea and vomiting or dark urine and consult your doctor immediately.
• Patients using herbal medicine products should tell their doctor about it.
