English Name：Motherwort，throwwort，honeyweed，lion's ear.
Malay Name：Seranting，kacangma，ka chiang ma，padang deman，tebu aga.
Indonesia Name：Ginjean
Family & Genus：Lamiaceae（Labiatae），Leonurus.
Pharmacology：Preserving effects on uterus，cardiovascular system，immunity，respiratory center，intestinal smooth muscle，resistant to platelet aggregation & thrombosis-resisting.
Properties：Acrid，bitter taste. Slightly cold in nature.
Benefits：Clear heat & remove toxin，activate blood circulation & regulate menstruation，dissipate blood stasis & relieve pain，promote diuresis & relieve edema.
Indications：
·Irregular periods
·Uterine bleeding
·Urinary difficulty
·Whitening & skin beauty
·Fluid retention & oliguria
·Hematuria & bloody diarrhea
·Lochia（postpartum bleeding）
·Postpartum hemorrhage & fainting
·Abdominal pain due to blood stasis

Cautions：
*Avoid motherwort during periods.
*It's only suitable for those with light periods due to blood stasis.
*Those with blood deficiency without blood stasis，heavy periods & pregnant women are refrained from consumption.
*For those with weak digestive system，it's recommended to mix ginger，brown sugar or rose tea to neutralize the coldness of motherwort.

Preparation：
·1 sachets tea bag each time. One or twice daily.
·Steep a tea bag in 200ml boiled water for 10 minutes.
·Each tea bag may rebrewed 2-3 times，or until light taste.

性味：味辛、苦；性微寒。
功效：清热解毒，活血调经，祛瘀止痛，利尿消肿。
适用于：
·美白养颜
·月经不调
·痛经经闭
·产后血晕
·恶露不尽
·瘀血腹痛
·崩中漏下
·尿血泻血
·小便不利
·水肿尿少

注意事项：
*女性经期不宜饮用益母草茶。
*益母草仅适用于血瘀型月经量少者。
*孕妇、血虚无瘀及月经量多者忌服。
*脾胃虚弱的女性，可添加生姜，红糖或玫瑰花茶，以中和益母草寒性。

用法：
·每次一包茶袋，每日1包～2包。
·将茶袋浸泡于200毫升沸水，10分钟后即可饮用。
·每个茶袋可重复冲泡2-3次，或直至淡味为止。
