SELLEYS Liquid Nails Heavy Duty - Specifically designed for demanding high performance applications on heavy or bulk materials, paneling, stone tiles, timber & furniture.
Extreme strength and durability for component in a dual bonding situation

Bonding most materials in common use
~ sheet flooring to joists
~ metal or aluminum door strips to floors or walls
~ timber or fibre cement sheeting to cement block or brick walls
~ Masonite / hardboard to timber or floorboards
~ wallboard or paneling to wood or metal frames
~ cork tiles to timber, fibre cement or plaster
~ timber flooring to yellow tongue in conjunction with mechanical fixings to avoid later squeaking

Features

2. speed of cure as fast as after 8 hours the mechanical fasteners can be removed
3. no slump or stringing even applying a bead to overhead surfaces
4. flexible in normal shrinkage and thermal movement between building components without losing bond strength
5. excellent resistance to water and weather (highly recommend for interior and exterior applications)
6. easy to press-out from the cartridge at low winter temperatures
7. does not fall off when applied onto wet timber
8. resistant to heat 90ºC and cold to -10ºC
9. bridges gap up to 9mm - can be used on rough and ill-fitting construction materials
10. dried adhesive is paintable

Instructions
PIERCE FOIL SEAL BEFORE INSERTING INTO CAULKING GUN
- surfaces should be DRY, FREE from OIL, GREASE and DUST, WIPE OFF any pooled water from wet timber
- cut cartridge tip, pierce foil, attach nozzle and cut to size (5mm)
- apply bead along length of JOIST, STUD or BATTEN
- on broad flat surfaces apply beads every 40cm
- fix with sufficient nails, screws or clamping to hold load and achieve contact over total bond area
- repositionable for UP to 20mins after fitting
- allow adhesive to set (MIN. 8 hours) before removing any temporary fasteners or clamping

Handy Tips
- AVOID contact with eyes and skin
**WET BOND METHOD
- direct a bead along the length of the joist, stud or batten
- on broad flat surfaces apply beads every 40cm (ZIG-ZAG beads are more appropriate on surfaces of moderate width) )
- fix with sufficient nails, screws or clamping to hold load and achieve contact over the total bond area
- wet bonds are repositionable for up to 15mins after fitting
- allow adhesives to set at least 8 hrs before removing any temporary fasteners
**CONTACT BOND METHOD - for faster grab
- apply a bead to one surface ONLY press together and pull apart
- allow surfaces to dry 2-4mins before firmly joining
-surfaces should not be kept apart for longer than 10mins as will impair the bond strength
