Indication:
Traditionally used to relieve symptoms of Viral Infections including runny nose, nasal congestion, sneezing, sore throat, cough and fatigue.

Black elderberry (Sambucus nigra) has been used for centuries and is widely known as a potent source of antioxidants and its immune supporting properties. Black elderberry is rich in flavonoids, anthocyanins, polyphenols, pectic polysaccharides and lectins, which are responsible for its efficacy in managing common cold and flu. It was also the major ingredient in cold & flu remedies used during the 1918 Spanish Flu epidemic. It has been shown in many clinical studies to be effective against virus- and bacteria-induced respiratory tract infections. Vitaherb Berrycol Syrup contains standardized European Black Elderberry (Eldercraft™), extracted using a patented water extraction and ultrafiltration method to preserve the original taste and deliver the health benefits of anthocyanins and polyphenols.

In 2022, a new study published by researchers at the University Erlangen has shown Black Elderberry Extract has a strong Antiviral effect against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19), leading IPRONA to file an international patent for its ElderCraft®​ extract. The university studied the effect of Eldercraft® Black Elderberry Extract on the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus that causes COVID-19 and found the extract inhibits the replication of the wildtype covid-19 viruses, as well as the variants of concern Alpha and Beta.

This natural remedy contains ElderCraft™ European Black Elderberry which has been clinically tested to:
• Reduce cold and flu symptoms
• Improve cold and flu symptoms
• Protect against oxidative stress

Active Ingredient:
Each 10ml contains –
European Black Elderberry Extract ….. 118.8mg
(Sambucus nigra L., Fructus)
Preservatives –
Methyl Hydroxybenzoate ….. 0.12%w/v
Propyl Hydroxybenzoate ….. 0.012%w/v

Dosage and Administration:
Adults: Take 10ml 3 times daily.
Children 6 to 12 years: Take 10ml once daily.
Children 2 to 5 years: Take 7.5ml once daily.
-Can be taken before or after food.
-Shake well before use.
-Use the dosage cup provided.
-Best taken at first sign of cold within 48 hours of the onset of symptoms.

How to Store:
​Store below 30°C. Protect from light, heat and moisture. Keep cap tightly closed.
