WHAT IS KEFIR?
Kefir is a fermented drink, traditionally made using cow's milk or goat's milk. It is originally produced in the Caucasus region of Russia.

It has been popular in parts of Europe and Asia for many years, but has only recently started gaining popularity in the United States due to the growing interest in probiotics and intestinal health.

HOW TO MAKE KEFIR AT HOME

While kefir is typically made from cow's milk, you can also use other types of milk such as goat's milk soy milk.

For dairy milk (cow's milk or goat's milk), you can use fresh milk (full-cream or Original fresh milk) or homogenized milk.

For every 500 ml of milk, use 1 sachet of Original Kefir powder. Ferment for 24 to 36 hours at around 25 degrees Celsius.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1:
Pour 1 packet of NKG Kefir powder into 500ml or 1 litre fresh milk(with temperature of around 25 degree celsius)
将1包Kefir粉倒入已经放置至室温的500ml 或1 litre鲜奶内。

Step 2:
Shake it up and down for 10-15times
上下摇均匀10至15次。

Step 3:
For fermentation,let it ferment at 25°c for 24 hours.
*DO NOT MIX OR SHAKE IT DURING FERMENTATION *
静置室温下,发酵24个小时。请勿在发酵时间内摇晃包装盒。

Step 4:
After 24 hours,open milk packet and make sure its surface is solid,store in the refrigerator and enjoy it!
24小时后,打开包装确保已经发酵成优格状即可放入冰箱冷藏享用啦!😃

Alternatively, you can also pour the kefir powder into a clean glass jar (not metal) and add the milk. Use a wooden or plastic spoon (not metal) to stir and mix well.

Cover the jar with a piece of cheesecloth or a paper towel and secure it with a rubber band or just cover with lid.)

2: Place the container of milk and kefir powder mixture in a cool dry place with a temperature of around 25 degrees Celsius.

Leave the mixture to ferment for 24 hours. Don't shake the mixture during the fermentation process.

3: When you can see curds on the surface of the milk, the fermentation is done.

The fermentation time required depends on the temperature and type of milk used.

4: After the fermentation is done, place the kefir in the refrigerator. (If you have used a glass jar for the fermentation process, cover the jar with a lid before you place it in the refrigerator.

STORAGE
Store in a cool and dry place.
