Siccapos® Gel – a dripping gel for intensive moistening

The gel structure in Siccapos® Gel is created by the ingredient polyacrylic acid. Despite the increased viscosity of the gel, the content of the tube stays smooth and can be put into the eye drip by drip. The gel structure, consisting of polyacrylic acid which binds moisture, will degrade slowly due to the salts contained in the lachrymal fluid. The water contained in the gel will be released. This leads to permanent and intensive moistening of the ocular surface. As a result, patients suffering from an advanced stage of dry eye need to apply Siccapos® Gel less frequently than conventional artificial tear solutions.
