Is your pet losing his/her fur as a result of fungal or bacterial infection? Is it bothering you to have to explain to people why that is the case?

Get Dechra’s MHT Spray for your pet and soon you won’t have to. It’s the best we know of at regrowing patches of lost fur from a prolonged infection. You should notice new fur growth within the first week! That’s how awesome this spray is.

But, what did you mean “should”? Is it not guaranteed?
It could take longer if your pet’s skin (and follicular canals) is clogged with various substances from the previous use of other treatment products. Sooner or later, however, you will notice new fur growth.

How does it compare to the MHT Shampoo?
The Spray is the star of the MiconaHEX+Triz series, bar none! This is likely due to a number of factors:
1. You can use the Spray as often as needed. Shampooing your pet every day is not only impractical but it may cause more problems for disrupting your pet’s natural skin barrier and balance.
2. The Spray still uses essential oils as fragrance while the Shampoo switched to a synthetic fragrance in late 2020. The original MHT Shampoo has an herbal smell, which isn’t particularly appealing to most pet owners.
3. You can use a shampoo with follicular flushing properties to amplify and accelerate the effects of the MHT Spray. This is why we’re now offering add-on deals for a few antimicrobial shampoos that work synergistically with this spray, i.e., Dechra Mal-A-Ket and DermaBenSS, Vetoquinol BPO-3, PHS Sulfox.

What can I use it for?
Its primarily function is treating fungal/bacterial skin infections of any severity.

How do I use it for fungal infection?
1 or 2 applications a day are enough. If you’re using with a follicular flushing shampoo (see add-on deals), we’d recommend:
- Day 1: shampoo
- Days 1, 3, 5, 7: spray
- Repeat
Feel free to tweak the schedule to suit your pet.

How does it compare to my vet’s antifungal cream?
Never use cream for fungal infections in cats and dogs. It will only worsen things and make it much harder to reach the most problematic fungi residing in your pet’s follicles, which can only be penetrated by liquid, not cream. Each follicle supports a bunch of fur (not just one hair like humans) and capillary action will transfer the spray onto the annoying fungi. The result is recovery and fur growth for your baby.
