Deskripsi Produk
Smelling salts release ammonia (NH 3) gas, which triggers an inhalation reflex (that is, causes the muscles that control breathing to work faster) by irritating the mucous membranes of the nose and lungs. Fainting can be caused by excessive parasympathetic and vagal activity that slows the heart and decreases perfusion of the brain.
Ammonia Smelling Salt is used as stimulants or its oral solution as counter-irritants to neutralize insect stings.
Store below 30˚C in airtight containers. Protect from light. For Inhalation Only.
Ammonia gas is toxic in large concentrations for prolonged periods and can be fatal. If a high concentration of ammonia is inhaled too close to the nostril, it might burn the nasal or oral mucosa. The suggested distance is 10–15 cm (4–6 in).
Method of administration : Inhalation at 10-15cm away from bottle for 1-2 inhalations. Wait for response, if necessary give 2-3 more inhalations. If still no response, stop using and seek medical assistant immediately.
