Introducing the Kurodai's 2022 Slowpitch Jigging Profile - the Destroyer. This new profile is specifically designed to provide jiggers with ease of control in any water current condition. Its fast-sinking profile enables quick drops to the target point with minimal effort during pitching, resulting in a deadly response in action.


The Destroyer's handcrafted and fine-tuned "ship-hull" body is designed to accelerate the falling rate while maintaining ease of control for better performance. It is beautifully furnished with high-quality holographic foils that maximize light reflection during the flutter fall.

Recommended for slow pitch jigging techniques, the Destroyer offers fast sinking and easy control with weights ranging from 90g to 235g. It is most effective in water depths of 40m - 60m / 130ft - 200ft during slack current and suitable for catching bottom dwellers and reef fish such as groupers and snappers in current speeds of 0.8 knots - 1.2 knots.

To maximize the effects of slow pitch jigging, we recommend using a PE strength of 2.0 - 3.0 and a braid rating of 30lb - 40lb. The assist hook size should be 3/0 - 4/0, and the leader should be 100% fluorocarbon, same as or 5lb lower than braid strength. Mid-size overhead reels or multipliers are suitable for use with the Destroyer.




To make the jig dance and mimic the falling injured fish, we suggest letting it fall to the seabed or structures and making a gentle and slow half pitch or full pitch of your reels. Repeat this process for several rounds, roughly 0.5m - 1m from the seabed, then release and let it fall back to the bottom of the seabed. These repetitive actions will create vibrations in the water that draw out predators from their nests, increasing your chances of catching the big one.

Lastly, it's essential to note that the Destroyer jigs are hand-molded and hand-polished, individually tank-tested to ensure accuracy in their desired actions. The weight may vary by +/- (0.5% - 1.8%) due to tuning activity, which involves some reshaping on the profile.
