Volume 1
Fifty years after the Demon Lord’s defeat, Frieren and her heroic party are reunited. For an almost immortal elf like her, it seemed like only yesterday, but her now-elderly human friends are leaving the world one by one. Volume 2
The rediscovery of Grand Mage Flamme’s notes has given Frieren and Fern a new purpose—travelling to the Northern wilds in search of the fabled Heaven. Ominously, that region is now the location of the demons’ stronghold, and to survive, they’ll need additions to their party... As they enter the Northern Lands, the first signs of demon manipulation become worryingly apparent, and Frieren is imprisoned for attacking one...?!

Volume 3
The demon envoys’ true intention is exposed, and Fern finally concedes to accepting Frieren’s help to fight them off. However, Frieren already has her hands full with an old enemy—a 500-year-old Prime Demon with an undying army at her command—and Fern and Stark must hold their own against an arrogant blood-wielding demon, as well as another who can copy her opponent’s every skill...

Volume 4
Getting injured or poisoned is no fun at all, but fate has finally smiled upon Frieren’s party with a healer... The thing is, the guy stubbornly refuses to join them, and it’s up to Frieren to change his mind! The journey to Äußerst, city of magic, continues, and the way is filled with deadly creatures as usual. However, what might actually kill them could be Fern’s wrath... or the intricacies of courtly etiquette...?!

Volume 5
Auberst, city of magic, is now the stage for the Class One Mage Assessment. Besides Frieren and Fern, dozens of other hopefuls have also gathered; some wily, others blood thirsty, and each with their own unique spell speciality. Each mage is also stronger than the next. The first round is a team battle to capture an elusive bird, but the real test will be to keep it from the other teams!

Volume 6
A classic labyrinth dungeon is the setting for Round Two of the test. This time, every candidate who makes it to the centre will pass, thus removing the need to fight one another... or so they thought. The only thing more dangerous than a dungeon full of monsters is a dungeon full of high-level mages. And the biggest obstacle of all? An unthinking, unfeeling thousand-year-old mage who is deadlier than the real thing herself!

Volume 7
With the mage assessment behind them, Frieren’s party restarts their trek northwards. Here, Fern and Stark learn of another much-celebrated hero—Humanity’s strongest: the Hero of the South. Just how did he earn such high esteem? Then, the party arrives at an idyllic hot spring town, and Frieren kicks back for some much-needed R&R. But what started as a cheeky retort from Stark suddenly turns into a date with Fern...?!

Volume 8
Fern’s hard-earned Class One certification finally gets the party into the Northern Highlands. Signs of Frieren’s previous journey are everywhere, from unfinished quests, to a decades-old debt... to be paid with interest. But here in the demon-infested frontlines, the party catch their first glimpse of the real challenges that face the freshly minted Class One mages: insidious demons with deadly insight into human nature...

Volume 9
Trouble comes knocking, in the form of a cute squirrel, with the reward grimoire already attached. Frieren blithely accepts the quest as usual, but then, she comes face to face with the magnitude of the task. An entire city, turned to gold, sealed within a barrier together with the powerful demon that caused it---and a very determined Denken on a near-suicidal mission to restore his homeland. The riveting Golden Realm arc begins!

Volume 10
Together with Denken, Frieren dives deep into Macht’s memories, and the revelations are chilling---a demon’s twisted social experiment; the human who knowingly cooperated with him; even a powerful demon who could free Macht from his prison. Yet amidst the carnage, a city was pulled from the clutches of corruption, and a boy was given new hope after tragedy. Things, as they say, are not always black and white...
