About the author, TAN YISIN
Tan Yisin is an artist with a childlike heart that sees the world through children’s eyes. She believes in the importance of drawing from the heart and is always more than happy to share her drawings with others, hoping to bring a smile to their faces and make the world a happier place to live in.
Many years ago, she started her drawing career by drawing illustrations for merchandise such as gift wrapping papers, bottles, notebooks, etc. When her cute and warm illustrations began to capture the publishers’ attention, she received invitations to draw a few picture books, and the number of her works accumulated over the years. Some of her widely known books include “Little Turtle Messenger” and “The Best Gift”.

Following the publishing of “Little Turtle Messenger”, Yisin created and assembled mosaic pieces along the Turtle Alley at Kampung Cina, Kuala Terengganu, which contributed to one of the many wonderful tourist hotspots in her beloved homeland, Terengganu.
Above all, Yisin is a warm, friendly, and down-to-earth artist. One of the things she likes to do is share her mini handmade picture books and ideas at art and cultural bazaars. If you are a patron of local art and cultural bazaars, you might be lucky to bump into this lovely lady one day.
