Shoei CWR-1 Photocromic Visor If the visor of your helmet is damaged or worn, you have the right replacement here. Transition photochromic technology allows the tint to be automatically and seamlessly changed from clear to dark depending on sunlight. This works as follows: Photochromic dyes embedded in the visor react to UV light and change the levels of darkness according to the sun's rays. As the UV light decreases, a chemical reaction driven by ambient heat takes place, transforming the activated photochromic molecules into their original, clear form. The visor then fades again.
