Latin Name：Clerodendranthus spicatus (Thunb.)，Orthosiphon stamineus，Orthosiphon aristatus.

English Name：Cat's whiskers，java tea.

Malay Name：Misai kucing，kumis kucing，remujung，ruku hutan，teh jawa.

Family & Genus：Lamiaceae，Clerodendranthus.

Pharmacology：Having dose-dependent inhibitory effects on ehrlich's ascite cell and cytotoxin on snuff cancer.

Properties：Sweet，bitter taste. Cooling. 

Benefits：Promote diuresis，anti-inflammation，clear heat & drain dampness，relieve stranguria & remove urinary stones.

Indications：

·Gout

·Cystitis

·Gallstones

·Urinary stones

·Rheumatic arthritis 

·Hyperuricemia（high uric acid level）

*Those with weak digestive are have to use cautiously.

*Those with urinary incontinence & pregnant women are refrained from consumption.


Preparation：

·1 sachets tea bag each time. One or twice daily. 

·Steep a tea bag in 200ml boiled water for 10 minutes. 

·Each tea bag may rebrewed 2-3 times，or until light taste.

科属：唇形科，肾茶属。

药理作用：对艾氏腹水癌细胞生长有剂量依赖性抑制作用，对鼻烟癌亦有细胞毒作用。

性味：味甘、苦；性凉。

功能：利尿，消炎，清热利湿，通淋排石。

适用于：

·痛风

·膀胱炎

·胆结石

·尿路结石

·尿酸过高

·风湿性关节炎

*脾胃虚寒者慎用。

*尿失禁者及孕妇忌用。


用法：

·每次一包茶袋，每日1包～2包。

·将茶袋浸泡于200毫升沸水，10分钟后即可饮用。

·每个茶袋可重复冲泡2-3次，或直至淡味为止。
