Appeton Multivitamin Plus Infant Drop is a dietary supplement for infant 0-12 months; for the prevention and treatment of vitamin deficiency among infants.Infant age 0-12 months are mostly depending on milk as their food. Breast milk is often described as a baby’s best food but the content of breast milk changes throughout the nursing period. Diet and genetics affect the amount of vitamins in each mother’s breast milk, especially the amount of fat-soluble vitamins (Vitamin A, D, E, K) used to decrease over time. The low amount of vitamin D and little sun exposure suggest that some babies may need a supplement. Minerals in breast milk tent to be highest right after delivery and decrease over time. Even though breast milk has a very small amount of iron but babies are born with enough stored to last them the first few months of life. Beside that, others infant formula also low in certain nutrient example, infant formulas are low in vitamin C; fresh goat’s milk low in vitamin C, folate and vitamin D.
