About Floating Disc Brake:
Hard braking or braking after the long-time high-speed ride will
cause disc intense friction leading to high temperature, thereby causing thermal expansion. The floating disc separates outer edge friction surface of brake disc and inner bracket, while the middle is jointed with non-rigid structure, i . e . floating connection, thus the friction surface and the bracket becoming a relatively independent force surface; when the friction surface is subject to thermal expansion, the floating structure allows the friction surface to have a certain free longitudinal expansion of space, thus eliminating the internal pull between the tensile stress of the conditions, so as to ensure the friction surface will not distorted by uneven heating, so that the brake becomes more stable and reliable; Instead, the common disc, high temperature expansion of the outer edge and the lower temperature the middle part is integrated, producing a strong internal pull stress, which in severe case will cause disc lateral distortion.
